This academic journal is about the clinic guidlines for diagnosing strep throat. It fits into my research because one thing that I hoped this device could accomplish would be to do away with false negative tests.
This academic journal discusses how strep throat causing Streptococcus pyogenes were detected in simulated clinical samples by performing touch spray ionization-mass spectrometry. This relates to my project because it is talking about a new way to test for strep, which is what I am trying to come up with as well.

For my project, I obviously had to do extensive research in order to attempt to come up with an answer to my question: how can I create a non-invasive device to test for strep? Because of this, I gathered many sources and created annotated bibliographies for many of them. Below are three annotated bibliographies that I believe really embody my project and will give you a sense of what I was trying to accomplish through this endeavor.

This source was from my first idea for a research topic that I came up with in November. I am very interested in anesthesiology, however because I do my internship at an immediate care clinic, there is virtually no anesthesia happening. Because of this I came up with a question based on my current internship. While I did not end up using this source, it was a good starting point to begin my research from and brush up on annotated bibliographies.
