Interning in a doctor's office, I am constantly learning new things. How to run different tests, how to draw different shots, which medications a patient can't take with others and so much more. One of the most valuable things that I think I will take from my time at Guilford is the fact that whatever position you hold in the healthcare field, it is your job to help a patient feel better. Whether a surgeon, nurse, lab technician or simply a medical assistant, the patient has trusted you with their wellbeing. Because of that, it is your job as a healthcare worker to treat them thuroughly and do your best job with whatever case you are given. While I have learned many life lessons through my internship, I have also learned literal things such as how to start an IV, take X-rays, perform a digital block and so much more! My time at Guilford has been very insightful and I am so glad that I was able to have this opportunity.
